    Windows 7 Final RTM question (when it comes out)


    Will the final Windows 7 RTM version be available for testing to the general public with keys for certain amount of time or no?

    no...you can always use it for up to 120 days for free if you get a copy without serial

    120 days that's good though, better than the current 30 days with 7264.

    I'm sure I will get a key from work for testing, but only for work.

    you can use every win7 build for up to 120 days with the rearm command.
    as long as they are not expired beyond their dates...

    Its really weird but the latest version of 7 we have available for download is 7229 directly through Microsoft Connect.

    guess it depends on your partner status etc. different partners / vendors / oems get access to different builds...like the last build 7264 was only available to the top 18 partners.

    that kinda was latest version for TAP. 7264 was just for top oem partners i think, like dell, asus, hp etc. I assume mostly to test oem certificates and activation.
