yes ok .....
1) I typed CMD and ehtered the above command but with -t 15
2) approx 15 seconds later, desktop started to clear...
3) ''shutting down '' screen was shown.
4) computer went click and all the lights went off...
5) 3 seconds later computer went click and booted back up
steps 3-5 are what happens when i shutdown with the mouse, shutdown with the front panel button, shuts down with a bsod or whatever...
MY pc has not 'shutdown' in 14 months..... I have to hibernate, or pull the plug out the wall...
thereforeI need to get the hibernate command to work from a simple clickable batch file.
why is my machine that way, dont care, its really of benefit to me it is has it shares drives with other pcs for my home movies and music, saves having to find its not on when i need it
But, I would really like to use the hibernate from a batch file, so i can set the machine to turn off an hour or two after i go to bed while watching/streaming a movie to my bedside laptop
to recap, my machine has two power states, fully on, or s3sleep/hibernate, thats all that works on it.
fully on is easy to achive, but getting to s3/hibernate needs a batch file.
i need that batch file!
