    Windows 7 shortcut not working ....:(


    I'm having a serious problem with the all shortcuts on my computer, its not working and icons have been changed too. I don't know why it happened.

    please check screen short.

    and help me please because i am thinking i'll have to install new windows

    That looks like adobe went overkill on file associations. I think it may take a long time to fix it changing all associations back, but it's just that adobe associated itself with every single program so it wants to open file in it instead. Try the system rewind tool (I'm afraid I can't remember what it's called offhand, but it's preinstalled in windows). Hopefully it hasn't been affected as well.

    Hi, welcome to the forums :)

    What's happened is the default file associations for .EXE has been changed. The following tutorial can be used to help you

    Default File Type Associations - Restore

    Make sure to download the .EXE registry file, run it and reboot. Your programs should then have their icons and associations restored.

    Thank you very much .. i have downloaded that registry file and applied on my system as well.
