    Monitor Crashing my Computer?

Well I've had my computer for probably 1 and a half years now and everything was fine up until a couple of months ago when I wiped my computer and did a clean boot of windows 7. It started crashing randomly and it did not seem to have any pattern, it was at random times and the time it took to freeze was random along with what I was doing on it ( 1 time I was playing a game another time I was watching Netflix and sometimes I was just on a website). I switched my computer to a different monitor, the one im using right now and the freezes have completely stopped. this monitor is a tv and the resolution is 1920x1080 the other monitor that I bought with my computer is 1440x900. So I know what the problem is I was just wondering if it was possible to fix

Is there a driver for the monitor in question to download and install?

    Manufacturer's website.

Strange, but not unheard of. Anything unique about the monitor ?? (a place for speakers, usb ports without a separate input, etc.)

Well from what I can tell everything about the monitor is completely normal it has a speaker input, power input, and vga. that's all the ports and also I can tell you the brand and model it is a Hanns-G HW191A and also I just checked their website and it doesn't look like there are any drivers for it.

Wow I think I might of just fixed it, I'm such and idiot lol I just realized from reading the owners guide that I never re-installed the software that came on the disk. Sorry it was such a stupid mistake thanks so much for trying to help me.

Well actually my computer just froze so I guess it wasn't a stupid simple thing after all
