Go over 32 bit, with 64 bit?

Or you could go to a site that specializes in memoryand look for a memory advisor tool such as this one at Crucial:

RAM Memory Upgrade: Dell, Mac, Apple, HP, Compaq. USB drives, SSD at Crucial.com

You can either input your computer make and model or let the tool scan your machine.

Alas, have just run the crucial scan, and I am duly informed that the capacity for my Toshiba Equium P200 series lappy is a max of 2 gig (Is that whilst win7 32 bit is running)?

Nothing to do with Windows 7 running, that is all that laptop supports. no idea how many variations there are of the P200 but found these two,

and both of them only support up to 2 GB as well. Also it may be a moot point as to running 64 bit unless the CPU supports 64 bit. Specs on the processors from the two above,

the first supports 64 bit, while the second is 32 bit only.

stormy13: Thank you for your noble effort, mine is the first one that supports 64 bit, but I know I would struggle with PS C4, and other memory hungry software out there, so until Win 8,9, or 10, I'll keep this lappy. I know Bill Gates gets stick for Microsoft, but I've had all is O/S since Win 3.0 & 3.1, and now most of the world must have a computer (I have 2 x desktops & 2 x lappys all running win 7 32/64 bit), have just been away to Devon for a week (in a deep valley), lovely holiday but no network at all for internet or mobile phone, glad to get home, to see what's happening.
