RTM is the final build of a specific Windows version. It will be in all the Retail boxes, along with being shipped to the OEM manufactures.

I hope they change all of the 98/XP icons that were left over, and the default wallpaper. It's sooo ugly.

What 98/XP icons? Not saying I don't agree with you, I hate them too and they should be replaced, but I've never noticed any old 98/XP icons in Win7.

+1 the icons do need changing , just be nice to set up my notebook and not have to mess about with new build every week , although i do enjoy build fever lol.

So it looks like the " Aero Diamond myth" is well and truly dead..... Maybe windows 8 ?

The Regedit, the Taskbar/Start menu icon (It still has Vista's taskbar in it), the images of computer monitors from the Personalization/Screensaver Preview screens are still old, white CRT ones.

The default beige cardboard effect icons are horrid and need to go , Some glass effect ones would be cool.

I think the main reason people are so psyked for the RTM is because, well, it's the GOLD code, and well, it's FREE!
Free??? For 120 days...yes then what are you going to do????
Hmmm on second thoughts don't answer that....

I didn't mean indefinitely free, I just meant we have access to the installer files, for free. Sorry for the confusion.
