    Burn question

Hi. My Grandpa recently bought Windows 7 and I asked him if I could barrow it. He called me today and asked me if I could find out if he would be able to burn it and send a copy to me so I can install it on my XP. Is it possible? Thanks :)

Hello Trandox, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You could install it on your computer, but you will not be able to activate it on your computer since he has it activated on his computer.

You will have to purchase your own legal copy of Windows 7 that comes with a separate product key number to activate it with.

Only if your Grandpa has a Family Pack copy of Windows 7, and not just the normal retail copy. It's product key can be activated on up to 3 computers at the same time.
