    Welcome to the forum
I you have a SYSTEM DISK REPAIR, try to use it and see if that solve your problem.
    Good luck

Another case in point. Do not use Registry Cleaners/Optimizers!

    Try this
Support: How do I restore the registry to undo the changes made by RegistryBooster? - Uniblue

If that does not repair the damage, you will need to do a repair install.

When this is all sorted, enable System Restore!
System Restore - Enable or Disable

    Thank you for your reply—

I tried my repair disks and recovery disks—they will not activate.

I have only setup disk that came with the emachine computer.

    It is no help.

I read about repair install here.

    1. Device Drivers - Be sure to have these handy to reinstall
    a. Q: How do I get these handy? Or where?
    2. I cannot get to the firewall to turn it off
    3. I have: MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
