    Inspiron 1520 compatible enough with windows 7 ?

    Hi all.
    I have installed win 7 on my inspiron 1520 and i see 1 or 2 per day the blue screen and sometimes firefox crashes.
    I have not installed any drivers or uncompatible programs.
    i looked into dell website and i saw it was not listed as the compatible for 7.
    What is the matter ? it s not recomended to be installed on inspiron 1520 ?
    If not which of my hardware should be improved ?
    thanks.

    According to Dell it doesn't appear that the Inspiron 1520 is compatible with Windows 7.

    The usual reason for incompatibility is a lack of associated drivers, not enough processing power, insufficient RAM, or insufficient hard drive space. This article gives more information.

    1. There are more series motherboards for the Inspiron 1520, so depends how old your Inspiron is;
    2. Mine is renewed, due to design cooling problems that the old series had; this was under warranty;
    3. Of course, DELL does not advice the 1520, because they want sell the new laptops; but I have Windows 7 running for a couple of weeks now and only experience that my BT-mouse stops working. Seems to me a driver problem, but till now did not find a good driver and DELL does not make one for the 1520.
