    Some files missing from 7232

Hai there, I recently downloaded the windows 7 64bit build 7232 version and it seems somehow there are a few missing files and wondered if this is normal.
The first example is my startup menu, or well, the issue its not there.

Like you can see there should a button called "software explorer" but its not there.
I remember having it previous versions so found it weird.
No worries, there are other programs to edit that stuff so that was fine.

Now a couple days ago i started messing around with the gadgets for the first time and it seems if i use to many or use effects with some there is incredible ammount of framedropps wich not should happen considering at all.
I searched on google and found nothing exept ppl that had issues with UAC turned off and gadgets not working.
Desperate to get this stuff to work i tried that and it told me to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Sidebar\Settings.
I tried to go there and by my suprise it doesnt exist wich you can see here.

So now i have 2 questions.
    1. Is this normal and is there any way to fix it?
    2. Is it possible there is some kind of limiter on the gadgets somewhere hidden?

Sorry for the long starting post, hope someone can help me since i tried for days without any succes.

I had that build installed and didn't have any of those issues, maybe you have downloaded a bad ISO or maybe a bad install, did you upgrade or fresh install?

Clean install, even on a new Hard disk.
It should the right iso, tought i got the solor version.
Is it possible this is caused by a error while burning? i remember not going lower then 4X but OS's need 1X to be stable.
Can anyone otherwise link me to the newest working and stable 64 version otherwise?

I've been running 7232 x64 on my workstation & my tablet notebook with no problems - did your hashes match SoLoR's? I had to force a re-load of some pieces from my initial torrent to get the right hashes.

Actually, the Windows 7 Defender has never had a Software Explorer option as far back as the first beta for me. I missed it because I always used to use it to check my startup and running processes.

    Hi Assira,

What you are missing are a couple of the many things MS removed from Vista.

Your 7 is supposed to be like that. Here's mine :

There is no Software Explorer in 7

Hmm, so i have the right buiild and right files.
Is there any limiter then somehow on that sidebar or any other process/program?
The gadget i'm talking about is system animator wich can play some movielike animations on the music beat.
I had a talk with the creator of it before i went to here and he had a worse PC then me but still everything is going smooth.
Only diffrence he has vista so i guess the problem is the beta OS.
Cheers for the fast replies btw.

I'm using a bunch of gadgets including an anime "animator" and have had no problems, but there may be compatibility issues with some gadgets. BTW, there's no sidebar as such in Win 7 - gadgets can be placed anywhere on the whole desktop.

Is there any way possible then to run gadgets in compatible mode like possible with progams?
