When I ran into this problem, seems like I just replaced the BIOS battery (CR2032) on the motherboard and it went away. After replacing the batt, go to Dell's website and see if there are any BIOS updates just for the heck of it.
Yes I replaced the battery but it was one out of an old motherboard, so possibly as bad the original.
Ah well, Shop ahoy.
If your board uses a jumper to clear the bios, did you at anytime during the process place it in the 'clear' position, and if so, did you remember to change it back?
Try entering the BIOS, select to load BIOS defaults, save, exit. Perhaps clear the BIOS with the jumper setting and make sure to change the jumper back like James said. The only other thing I can think of is reflashing the BIOS. Check to see if a newer revision exists. If not reflash with same BIOS if it will allow it.
