    thank you for the assistance, I went with the free Killdisk software. It was time consuming but at least its done.

    Hello mate.


    For future use, all you need is a Vista or Windows 7 installation DVD or a created repair disk to write zeroes to a Hard Disk Drive, have a look at Step One of this tutorial at the link below.

    SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

    DISKPART : At PC Startup


    Or step #7 of this one to do a wipe to a separate HDD from within Windows.

    Disk - Clean and Clean All with Diskpart Command
