I just noticed when you tell windows update to search for all MS products, you don't get redirected to a webpage, but a menu opos up asking you if you want more updates.
There are two sites/tools - Windows Update and MS Update, the latter being inclusive of the former.

I don't think we could consider it new since it has been there from build 7232 on up, but have a look.https://www.sevenforums.com/131149-post93.html

i understand, but usually (on vista and builds of w7) it would redirect you to a website to click the "i agree check for more updates" web page. Now it just pops up a menu item without launching IE where you click yes or no.

Anyone know whether an upgrade install from 7232 would work?
I know clean installs are advised but I'd really rather just do it. I'll have the real thing in a few months.

Have not tested it but 7233 is the minclient version listed in cversion.ini so you would need to change that.

how did it install 4-5 minutes faster for some of you.. when the entire process already only took 13 minutes on my PC.. if Windows 7 can install in 8 minutes I'd be amazed!!

    or even better. 7 minutes

    Coming from 7232:

    - Restore folder windows on logon now works without Win Explorer going postal.

    - The folder activity animation is different, IIRC.

    - I'm running a beta version of Agnitum's Outpost Security Suite, and the antispam process used to crap out continuously, now it doesn't. And no sooner than I post this it starts again .
