RTM dosnt mean Gold code, so it could just mean another RTM branch.

Yes RTM Today, it could be wrong but Bill Veghte said it, so I doubt it will be wrong

It is such an exciting time. This month we will release Windows 7 to manufacturing, and we write that next chapter, we go after that opportunity.
There's just one problem. The official transcript of the speech, clearly written off the script ahead of time (or just a simple mistake, I guess; either way, it's wrong), reads as follows:

You guys missed a post two pages ago by ComputerGuy2010 where he posted this. It looks pretty official to me...

Did he say it? Or did they just report that he said it?

    Looking for second confirmation.

Still keeping the good though and not holding my breath....

does anyone here actually like Bing??

I love it! The results are different than google, so if you are looking for something and can't find it on google, you get a different set of results. I switched, mainly because I support MS more than google.

Also, if you ever need to search for images or videos, you will love bing!

will installing the official rtm on your system make it run any different than whatever built you are currently using?

    i doubt it

relax, people. i'm excited about this too. i've been using windows 7 for almost 8 months now and i absolutely love it.

but rtm today, rtm tomrrow, rtm next week... it really doesn't change anything.

I didn't hear Balmer say it, I am not sure where this is coming from. I know there is an MS transcript that says it too, but I never heard it.

For me it means no more rebuilding my 4 machines, well after putting RTM on them.

Yeah I have seen just as many reports of MS saying "No" as rumors saying "yes". I think every blog wants to be the first to say yes, so they post it. I believe Information Week and PCMag more than the rumors elsewhere. I agree that RTM won't be out for a bit.
