Problem printing normally using High Contrast Black

I am a blind man, and I use High Contrast Black as my theme. In the past, when I would print a document, it would print normally, i.e., black text on a white background. Some time ago, tho, my printer began to print the document as white print on a black background! But here is the strange thing: if I copy and paste my text to Notepad and print, it prints normally as black on white. Both Word 2010, Jarte, and Wordpad will NOT print normall, and I cannot find settings to change this behavior. Please note that to the best of my knowledge, I did NOT change any settings to cause this printing anomaly to begin. HOw can a person using the High Contrast BaBlack teheme arrange it so that documents print out normally, black text on the white sheet of paper?

By the way, I forgot to mention, that I have tried changing the theme to a normal Windows 7, non-high contrast, but the problem persists.

Welcome to Seven forums greene8097. Look into your printer setting for printing preferences. You may have some configured wrong there. The theme you use shouldn't effect print jobs.

Same problem - prints white on black - High Contrast

I know this is an old thread, but it is short and appropriate. I now have the vision of a 66 year old life-long systems and applications engineer. I recently decided to experiment using the High Contrast #1 theme provided with Windows 7 (SP1). At the same time, I changed the color scheme in Firefox to be white text on a dark gray background. Jarte now prints white text on a black background. However, OpenOffice Writer and notepad print normally with black text on white.

I returned to using the theme named Windows 7. The white on black printing continues.

In Jarte Plus, I went into Page Setup. I could find nothing that would appear to cause this behavior. Here, I clicked Printer Setup. Again, I could find nothing to explain the behavior. Here, I clicked a button labeled 'Restore Settings'. I also went into Advanced Settings. In the section with sliders to adjust color balance, I clicked 'Restore Adjustments' even though all of the sliders were already in their center positions. I closed out of these dialogs by saving the changes. The printer behavior was unchanged.

The only other changes I made to the display were:
    1. I changed the Windows font from Small (default) to Medium in the Display Control Panel
    2. I turned off the Aero effect of transparent titlebars.

I do not recall changing anything else relating to the display or to printing. Printing white on black quickly drains the black ink cartridge, as you can imagine.
