Quite a serious problem I think.

    Hi There,

I turned on my laptop today to find that all services have been disabled. I've gone into services.msc and i'm unable to start the important services like action centre, WLAN and lots of others.

The last thing I did was try to install 2 security updates and 1 normal update. One of the security updates failed to install but the other two did, So i restarted my laptop done the ctl-alt-del, which took ages, then logged back in.

I cant even do a system restore

    Any advice

    Thanks

Try running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free scan, sounds like you might have a bug...

I've tried scanning with MacAfee Total Protection and Microsoft Security Essentials using a Full Scan and it came back with nothing. ummm

Also you could try doing your system restore from your Windows installation DVD which would omit the OS problems initiating the system restore.
