    Command Prompt Default Properties

Does anyone know how to set the command prompt default properties (options, font, layout, and colors)? I know how to set properties after I open a command prompt (as outlined in Command Prompt - Personalize). I want to change the default properties such that any command prompt I open (e.g. 'Open command window here') has the same properties. I've searched the forums, I've poked around in the registry, but have not found an answer. Any ideas?

OK, I found the answer here Customize the Command Prompt in Windows 7 (third way cited).

Clicking the Control menu icon in a Command Prompt window and choosing Defaults from the Control menu lets you make changes that will not affect the current session but instead will affect all future sessions (except for those launched from a shortcut whose properties have been customized).
Simply and easy. Open a command prompt. Right-click on the control menu icon (upper left corner). Click Defaults. Make your properties changes and click OK.
