    MS net Framework

When I boot up my laptop with WIN7, I continuously get a message telling me that I need to download MS net Framework 2.0 when in fact 3.5 is on the machine. Can someone tell me how to eliminate this boot up message. Thank you in advance.

If I am not mistaken, 3.5 is an upgrade but still needs 2.0 under it. Just download the 2.0 as requested and you should be good to go. Let us know how you make out.

I tried that but it will not let me download 2.0. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Perhaps getting rid of net Framework and downloading a totally new version? If so which one? Thanks in advance.

Yes you could delete it entirely. Then force a Windows update and let it download whatever it says it wants to.

Dot Net 3.5 includes Dot Net 2 and is installed (included with) by default in Windows 7. Go to Programs and Features > Turn windows features on and off, and make sure Dot Net 3.5 is checked.
