No dice. All down to 1 corrupt file ~ Directory not found error. Must be a dodgy copy or original file corrupt. Will try to copy original across again.
Re-ripped offending MP3 files. Copy & paste now working!
Just one more suggestion for a file manager related product that I use for syncing my music collection, both between my two PC's as well as to my Cowon J3 music player:
Beyond Compare
Intuititive 2-pane presentation, folder/file compare, text/binary compare, syncing from left-to-right or right-to-left, etc.
Obviously could copy a complete folder from one side to the other, no matter how large.
Interesting how you say it appears to be some corrupt MP3 files which caused your problem. Can't imagine what could have happened.
Yeah, there is no limit....copy and paste doesn't even look at the size before doing the job. Neither does drag and drop.
By the way.....in this thread, I see "copy and paste", and "drag and drop", referred to as two different things.....why is that, when they are essentially the same thing?
Whwn you DRAG a file/folder into a folder on the same hard disk, the file/folder is MOVED (not copied) to the destination folder. If the destination folder is on a different hard disk, the file/folder is COPIED to the destination folder.
Copy/paste is, well, just that - COPY and PASTE.
