Permanent change to view in Win Explorer

I would like to make a change in the view of Windows Explorer (not IE) in Win7 OS. I click on View and then Choose Detail and choose Date. That changes what I see in the Contents Pane. I can see the Date of the files. But, when I change to a different folder, I have to do it all over again. How can I make this change permanent?

Set a folder up how you want it, and try the following:

    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...l-folders.html

    > Tools (tab at the top of the folder list may need to press "alt" to see it)
    > Folder Options
    > View
    > Apply to Folders
    > Apply
    > Close the Window

    Thanks WebMatt

Thanks for the reply. I found a similar answer that followed your steps but went to the root directory, in my case the D:\ drive (partition) that I use for all my data folders and files. It seems to be working. Maybe I won't like it when I begin to work on all my photo files. Again, thanks. Solution uses your steps only on the root directory.

    Hello Nolakenoforest,

In addition, this will help show you how to set a default folder view for all folders.

Folder View - Set a Default for All Folders

    Hope this helps,
