    Can't save images or documents

After upgrading to Win& Pro i'm not able to save these files to a location of my choosing.
    example:
I attempt to save an image to a folder I get the following Error message
You Don't have permission to save in this location.Contact the administrator to obtain permission. Would you like to save in the My Pictures folder instead?
WTH!?! I am the administrator and I'm 99% sure I've got permission to do this already. I've checked the settings for this folder and it shows that i've got all the permissions and "Full Control".

    What am I missing?

What location are you trying to save to? If you try to save to the root of the C: drive or to Program Files, you will see this message. In essence you are being saved from doing something dumb. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should....save somewhere else.

    The path is as follows:
    c:\Website images\mfg name\

Worked just fine and dandy before upgrading from Win7 HomePremium to Win7 Pro.

    Frank,
Save photo as jpeg and try it.
Bitmap photo's did the same to me this morning so I saved it as jpeg.
Let me know if that worked for you.

Hello, where are you saving FROM? You can try to save to a NEW folder, then from there to c:\Website images\mfg name\. May not work, this path looks like a browser temp folder.

Move the "Website Images" folder under your Pictures folder. That is the logical place for it anyway.

Frank, I suppose you could find a way to force the OS to let you save there, but honestly I'd think about saving things somewhere else. Since the DOS days (which I remember, sadly...) it has always been a bad idea to try to save stuff on the root directory of the C: drive. The fact that previous editions of the OS let you do it just means they were just too dumb to tell you so. You really should either A: save things to the My stuff folders in the libraries or B: (better idea) put a completely different hard drive in your machine and save all your personal items there. If you are using a laptop, save it to an external drive. That way when the C: drive goes bad you won't also lose all your precious stuff. I just had a student the other day lose about $800.00 worth of client photos because she'd saved everything on the C: drive.
