    Positioning Windows Desktop Query

I recently upgraded to windows HP 64bit and have come across a strange problem - i cant move windows open on my desktop off the top of the screen, i can move them off the bottom or either side (so there half visable) but if i try and position them a little off the top of the desktop they just get moved back down, or resized very large - i never had this problem with vista? i have included a diagram below:

hi kaizer1981, and welcome to sevenforums,

it looks like you've run into 'aero snap', a new feature included in windows 7.

it's meant to make it easier for you to manage your desktop.

if you want to turn the feature off, so your desktop behaves more like the vista that you are used to, then take a look at this tutorial: Aero Snap - Turn On or Off
