Seven is pretty stable, but keep XP on there just in case.

Well ive had to reninstall seven multiple times due to issues. But if you cant keep XP on, than make sure your crap is backed up and you have xp recovery disks.

IMO, Dual-Booting would be the best incase you must reinstall Windows 7 Beta. However, if you can't then I would say Windows 7 is stable enough depending on your hardware.

Well seeing as how you have a 40GB drive I wouldn't recommend splitting that into two partitions. Do you have another hard drive?

Sorry, it's a BETA. Therefore, no matter how stable it is, it should not be your main OS. You should install it in such a way that you are ready to reinstall it at the drop of a hat.

Having said that, i'll also add that it is amazingly stable for a beta. It works well enough to be a main OS. But it will expire in August!

Never, ever, ever, install a Beta product as your main OS. Larger hard drives allow for multi-boot systems, and this is the perfect environment for it.
