Unable to open Windows 7

When I tried to load my Windows 7 OS today it would not open. I loaded my Windows 7 repair disk, and tried startup repair a couple of times but that did not work. I then opened the command prompt and tried bootrec.exe /fixboot, and bootrec.exe /fixmbr again neither made any difference.
I then booted into my other hard drive which has XP on it, and went into Computer Management and the hard drive that has Windows 7 on it is reading:-
System Reserved 465.66 GB NTFS Healthy System ? and 232.97 GB Unallocated.
Has anyone any ideas.

Thanks

Still somewhat confused. Your Win7, or boot, should be designated C and disk 0, active.

The Disk Mgmt output must be faulty, as the listing screen shows a normal 100mb System Reserved partition on the Win7 HD, while the drive map shows 465gb SysReserved with the rest of the drive unallocated. Both cannot be correct.

Use free Partition Wizard bootable CD to get the correct Disk map and listings. Post back a camera snap or type out the listings for us.

If Win7 partition is indeed missing, run the Partition Recovery Wizard to see if it can find and restore it.

If SysReserved and Win7 partition are intact, mark System Reserved active, click on Win7 HD to highlight it, then from Disk tab select Rebuild MBR. If Win7 fails to start, boot into Repair CD to run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times with reboots until Win7 starts.

If this fails, mark Win7 partition itself Active then try Rebuild MBR from Disk tab. If it fails to start, run Startup Repair x3 from Repair CD.

If all fails, you can copy out your files from XP or using CD: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

Then clean reinstall Win7 following these steps which apply to get a perfect reinstall: Reinstalling Windows 7
