Taskbar bug (help needed)

Greetings everyone!

I installed "Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit" a while ago and at first everything seemed to run smoothly. But at the moment I have issues with opening "open" programs on my taskbar. Pidgin, Skype but also several games have issues every now and then with opening the window.

When I click on a certain program in my taskbar that is open I just see the color change when I mouse over and then it just doesn't open. With Alt Tab I'm also unable to open those programs. So to give an example when I start up Pidgin everything works fine. I see my contact list and everything and when I double click on a person, I see that it creates a new window in my taskbar but it doesn't open the window and if I click on or alt tab it doesn't open either.

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this issue because it's pretty frustrating.

Much love,

I couldn't find anything on google. If you need more details please ask so I can provide them. I can even upload a video on YouTube to show the bug if you'd like that.

Greetings!

Hello Dwarf,

Thanks a lot for your welcome!

I just made a small video to show the problem that I have. It occurs randomly quite often with different programs, I just noticed the problem with Microsoft Word as well.

As you can see when I'm trying to open Microsoft Word which I have running but the screen/window doesn't show up if I click on it. Alt tab doesn't work either.

Greetings,

Do you get any options if you right click on the Taskbar icon?

Hello there

Yes I can basicly do everything with my taskbar. I can right click on it and go to properties or any other options. It's just that programs randomly don't want to open up if I click on them on my taskbar. I've been looking on google for hours but couldn't find it yet sadly enough

E messenger displays when you have new messages. Nothing related to the problem though

Hmm, I considering switching back to Windows XP Pro 64 bit. I've wasted a lot of money on Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit though

I have set the Taskbar buttons to never combine. The problem is when I try to move a window button to the far left all related buttons go with it. Is there any way I can set it up to just move individual buttons in the same way the tabs work in Firefox. Sorry if this has been covered before...
