Not all of my RAM is usable

    Well, it seems that it is a compatibility problem with the RAM, although they are of the same set and worked together for many years. I tried 2x512 MB sticks and they worked together fine. I went ahead and ordered 2x2G Gskill sticks. Hopefully I won't have the problem with the new RAM.

    So I got two news sticks of RAM, and the problem is still happening. Could it be a problem with my motherboard? My slots work fine, it just seems like it's capping my memory, although I don't have a limit on my maximum memory.

    Hello again Jeff, did you check this article out?
    Just for grins and giggles, Take out one 2GB stick and see what is being listed as useable then. Boards with four RAM slots are usually picky about which slots are in use when two are populated.
