    Taskbar Thumbnail issues


    So i have searched the forum and the internet for the last few hrs

    i just recently installed the beta directly from MS (bld 7000)

    everything seems to be working fine, but im not getting a thumbnail preview of open programs running in my taskbar (its just a simple txt based preview with an icon for the program)

    sorry if this has been answered but can anyone point me in the right direction for some help?

    Is Windows Aero enabled?

    im not sure, where is that located?
    ive never even run vista...been on xp up untill i got this installed

    Go to Personalization either by right clicking a blank space in the desktop or through Control Panel and tell me if you can edit your colors.

    If you have all your video drivers installed then you need to refresh your WEI score and then you will have Aero.

    Yes you do, if you've either freshly installed Windows or installed a new graphics card. Aero isn't enabled by default, and once the system's WEI is calculated, Windows recognizes your card as either capable or incapable of Aero, and acts accordingly.

Anyone know how to restore the taskbar thumbnail preview that was in IE8? Ive tried everthing. Enabled the setting in gpedit.msc. Turned off the preview in taskbar properties. I still get those thumbnail previews. Any idea how to fix this? Im on build 7100.

Im just wondering if anyone knows of a way to make the taskbar preview work by only mousing over the tab on the taskbar, so you dont have to mouse over the thumbnail. I made the thumbnail take forever to appear cause it was anoying me for specific reasons. I want it to be like in this picture I...
Is there REALLY no way to disable the taskbar thumbnail? I personally do prefer having it disabled. I do not understand why they would take away freedom ... :(
