Doesn't Win 7 have a built-in burner? Maybe not. I use UltraISO which supports 64-bit, but it's payware.

This. ImgBurn is great and works perfect in Windows 7 x64.

OK! I'm 64bit now everything seems fine although I have a problem... What am I supposed to do with Java? Got the 64bit version, installed and then tried to install Vuze, it says that it needs Java 32bit anyway... :/ I pointed it to the one installed and no joy.

Kindly continue the sentence! The suspense is killing me!

My loaded software, plus Office 2010 Tech Preview recently installed, everything works as expected except the very old Phatnoise Music Manager - it can't find the CD drive when encoding CDs, although it finds it to play, go figure.

    EDIT:

The only thing I have that uses Java is Readerware which has its own Java Runtime. Why don't you try to install the 32-bit version? The one Readerware uses is 32-bit and it runs on my x64 Win 7.
