No viruses the scan was successful. So its not virus related.

Huh. In that case, it sounds as if the easiest solution is to restore from a system restore point. Remember to backup any important data before doing this.
System Restore
Well i pulled a trick to download google chrome and got it working. WIll i run into any problems avoiding internet explorer.
You will still need IE for Windows updates.
Download the batch files from Brink's last post. Save to your desktop ... now right click on the file and choose to run as Administrator. Your file associations should be fixed.
Just fix your file extensions using Brink's method. There's nothing hard about it and your problem will be solved. Stop jumping onto other "solutions" and get it done!
Okay i have the zip and reg files downloaded now what.
Sorry brink. YOur method had no effect on the problem.

Did you right click on the downloaded REG files, click on Merge, approve, and restart the computer afterwards?
If this is only a IE issue, then they will not help.
I moved both files onto my desktop. I hit merge on reg file and they verified their activation keys. THey did not do anything.
ALso by turning internet explore off everything works normally so i would guess its an ie problem.
