Is the DVD a known-good installer is it for the licensed version on your COA sticker? If it is a retail disk make sure it is clean. If burned, make sure it works on another machine or burn another using ImgBUrn at 4x speed, or write the ISO to flash stick using this tool with Win7 in dropdown: Universal USB Installer – Easy as 1 2 3

Reset the CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS While in BIOS setup, set the SATA controller to AHCI mode for install.

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals.

Next, boot the DVD, press Shift + F10 at first screen to open a Command Line, wipe the HD of all code. SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation. This will wipe any corrupt or interfering code.

Then follow these steps (which apply) to get a perfect reinstall: Reinstalling Windows 7

Sounds like you have a bad installer. The only files it can be referring to on a wiped HD (did you use Diskpart "Clean All?") are the installer's.

Where did you get Win7?

See my first step given above.

Yes i used diskpart "clean all" and that worked perfectly it took a couple of hours but all went successful then i tried to reinstall windows 7 and the message in my last post is what i was given. Could it just be the windows 7 disk i got it from my m8 and it has worked on his pc and his brothers laptop. I seemed like i was getting closer and then the error msg came up so dont know what the hell is going on lol its a good laptop so dont want to get rid of it and not paying loads of money to get it fixed. Could it just be the windows 7 disk ?

Right just tried to install windows xp and got a long error msg saying

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

Check for viruses on your computer.Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controller.Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated.Run chkdsk /f to check for hard drive corruption and then restart your computer.
Technical info 0x0000007b"

The hard drive is not newly installed either though i took it out the other day but have put it back in properly and have tried chkdsk /r and no luck...
What the hell is going on i need some serious help here guys

Most likely you need to add the SATA controller since XP is so old it doesn't have it in the disk.
SATA Drivers - Load in Windows XP Setup on Dual Boot
SATA Drivers - Slipstream into Windows XP CD

Try replacing the Win7 installer with another know-good ISO for your licensed version, then burn to DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed or write to flash stick using this tool: Universal USB Installer USB Pen Drive Linux

You can find an official Win7 installer on the web by googling Win7 download at My Digital Life.
