try the sleep command from the start menu, if it works it is the keyboard. I am not sure how (if at all possible) to change this. PS2 KBs are old and I think they may be hard coded with he command for each button, thus it may not be customizable.
This keyboard has software programmable keys:
Back - Forward - Stop - Mail - Search - Favorites - Web/Home - My Computer - Calculator - Sleep
Anyway, as I stated previously, turning off 'Hibrnate' seems to have done the trick.
In command prompt, type powercfg -a and press Enter. what is the return?

After running a full system scan with Kaspersky anti-virus a couple of days ago I now have a bug with sleep mode
- After going into sleep mode, the user with my picture icon is locked meaning that I can't enter my password...
Just recently, every time my laptop returns from sleep mode, its Mouse pad and Keyboard are locked up right at login screen and they don't function at all and I can't log back in so I have to force shutting down my laptop by pressing the power button.
