You will always need 1 Administrator account Enabled whether it be Built in Admin or a Created Admin account

Without an administrator Enabled you cannot access any of the Administrative Functions

Just take MacGyvr's advice to back up your personal data and reinstall Windows then learn from your mistake.

Before you alter any settings, ask yourself WHY you want to do it. If you can't answer that question then don't do it. If you can answer that question then read up on HOW to do it.

Sorry if I'm patronising you, but you've caused yourself a lot of trouble by diving in blindly without thinking first.

You can enable the Built in admin it is just not recommended

I recommend the following setup

1 Standard account (Personal Use)

1 Administrator Created in control panel (With a password)

Built in Administrator Disabled

If you are confused as to how to set this up then just make your user account an Administrator

ok josh ...... do u use the same settings too that std account plus admin account with password ..... coz that way every new applicatn or software gets a shield like a km player setup file ......it gets a shield of admin as soon as i install it ...........and then i cant copy such a shielded file to some other computer and install it there .......it will ask me admin user password or it wont work perhaps ????????? and plz tell if everythng is normal with my windows or not ?????

hey josh im not arguing ...........rather he ws trying to insult me ....

i know they are senior respected members but they should know how to respect me and my problems .........

That is the setup that I use and nothing is wrong with your computer

If a File has a shield icon that means you need an admin password to run it - You can copy it to other computers without any worry about the Admin password

Since you do not currently have n administrator account boot into Safe mode and log on as the Administrator and create an Admin in the control panel and then boot normally and set a password on it
