    Computer hdd starting to make noise...


    My Computer Hard Drive is tarting to make noise?

    Its making a bit of a whirling noise all the time now for about 3 days non stop,

    Before it only made this noise once in while and not too often or for too long at a time.

    I bought the computer brand new the end of Jan 2011.

    Anyone have suggestions?

    Is this normal, or should I be concerned about it and checking on something.

    BACK UP ANYTHING IMPORTANT IMMEDIATELY! Do not do anything else until you have backups. Your data will be lost otherwise.

    THEN contact the manufacturer and get the drive replaced.

    You might want to check your power supply. In my experiences whenever I heard a whirling sound from my HDD its was either a sign that my power supply was going out and wasn't delivering enough power to HDD or your actual HDD is going out.

    A backup would be a good idea at this point.

Hello. I have a computer with external active speakers connected to the 3.5mm phone plug. I'm using win 7 32-bit and when I start my computer the speaker starts to make strange sounds, almost sounds like an old modem. I have disabled the start-up sound since I don't want that, the noise is there...
Lately my HP Pavilion dv7 -6135dx has been making a popping noise from the speakers which is independent of both the laptop's set volume and the devices plugged into it. I have checked, and I'm certain that it's not the "Click of Death," as it's not consistent, comes from nowhere near my hard...
Every time I open iTunes in Windows 7 Professional, I get an annoying beeping sound as it opens, and it does so twice. Even after I turn off sounds in Control Panel, I still get this sound. Any ideas why, or how to fix this?
