    Zidane's well tested 16385

Let me tell you...when I seen the title of the thread...I was like ...I thought I made it and forgot about it...anyhow you pushy people...

    1. I ran 7 different spyware/virus scanners (Kaspersky...Norton...NOD32...McAfee...Avira...MSE...AVG)...(Windows Defender...Spybot Search & Destroy...and others that I can't think of at the moment)
...and it got a clean bill of health
    2. I ran it inside VMWare for about 5 or 6 hours and watched how the OS behaved: recorded all processes that were launched and all network traffic...By using network sniffers and process loggers. I then compared that to past build .84 (on my desktop) and the small differences in OS flow were minsucle and not supicious at all
...and it got a clean bill of health
    3. Downloaded Windows 7 7600.16385 and clean installed my laptop and put it as the main OS...I am still monitoring it but as of 5 hours uptime nothing has been fishy yet (and I don't expect it to be)

    Verdict...Safe to use!
I mean really...if I didn't pick up anything on those scans AND no suspicious activity has occured on the OS (if there was some type of timing malware...it has to "phone home" every so often)...than the Chinese are DAAAAAMMMMMNNNNN GOOD or it really is safe!

Take this what you will but for me .16385 is my main now!

BTW If you are still bent on questioning me and my tests...than so be it...I spent my time trying to make sure that a release not made by me was real and these are my results...as with every build (including this one) there is no garanteed way of checking authentcity...USE THE LEAKED BUILDS AT YOUR OWN RISK and I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF IN ANY WAY A 7600.85 BUILD YOU AQUIRED DOESN' HAVE THE SAME RESULTS!!!

I wasn't so much curious about commercial software saying it was safe to use. I thought you'd maybe keep an eye on things like packet direction, udp acceptance and general root behavior.

That is what I meant by "watching it"...it never hurts to also see if our commercial virus detectors come up with anything
