So you just ran x86 through a virus scan and that was all?
No if you read my OP...I ran x86 in vmware and ran network sniffers/some underlying process watchers to watch the OS for anything supicious...trust me folks it is quite okay to use

BTW I ran i through 7 of them and around the same amount of anti-spyware...comeon folks what else do you want out of me?!?!? The thing to remember that with each build there is no way to check authencity from Microsoft! USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

Thanks for the great info and it appears the rude one was already banned (appropriately so, imo).

I don't see you use a sniffer for packet control information
Yeah I just realized I didn't include that...I will add it to the OP

Let me tell you...when I seen the title of the thread...I was like ...I thought I made it and forgot about it...anyhow you pushy people...

    1. I ran 7 different spyware/virus scanners (Kaspersky...Norton...NOD32...McAfee...Avira...MSE...AVG)...(Windows Defender...Spybot Search & Destroy...and others that I can't think of at the moment)
...and it got a clean bill of health
    2. I ran it inside VMWare for about 5 or 6 hours and watched how the OS behaved: recorded all processes that were launched and all network traffic...
...and it got a clean bill of health
    3. Downloaded Windows 7 7600.16385 and clean installed my laptop and put it as the main OS...I am still monitoring it but as of 5 hours uptime nothing has been fishy yet (and I don't expect it to be)

    Verdict...Safe to use!
I mean really...if I didn't pick up anything on those scans AND no suspicious activity has occured on the OS (if there was some type of timing malware...it has to "phone home" every so often)...than the Chinese are DAAAAAMMMMMNNNNN GOOD or it really is safe!

Take this what you will but for me .16385 is my main now!
The implication here is that you're using the Chinese-multi-RAR edition.
    My DL was different.
Did you by any chance check out the properties of 'setup.exe' as regards Digital Signatures and Certificates?
16385 is a top-dog until the RTM arrives!
    Thanks for the write-up...

    2. I ran it inside VMWare for about 5 or 6 hours and watched how the OS behaved: recorded all processes that were launched and all network traffic...By using network sniffers and process loggers. I then compared that to past build .84 (on my desktop) and the small differences in OS flow were minsucle and not supicious at all
...and it got a clean bill of health

BTW If you are still bent on questioning me and my tests...than so be it...I spent my time trying to make sure that a release not made by me was real and these are my results...as with every build (including this one) there is no garanteed way of checking authentcity...USE THE LEAKED BUILDS AT YOUR OWN RISK and I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF IN ANY WAY A 7600.85 BUILD YOU AQUIRED DOESN' HAVE THE SAME RESULTS!!!
Fixed the OP...this is the final revision...all my tests have been accounted for

indeed I did...would include a pic of them if they werent posted a bazillion times in the leak threads...both x86 and x64 has valid dig sigs...the ISO you have downloaded might be one made bootable by someone else...if it isn't the original 3-pack rar than I cannot say whether that one is modified or not

Zidane did no test he just say it's okay build and it make no sense to run it. New build soon and wzor will say it's good.
yeah sure...you come in with no posts and no rep and you claim that this time of all times I haven't helped...really if your so skeptical you go waste your own time testing it and stop bashing my own tests...I am not doing this for myself but for the community of folks that want to be safe with using 7600.16385
