trouble with the dvd drive

    Thanks guys for taking your time to answer.
    Mr. Colbert: Revo uninstaller did not find any Movie Maker.
    No Problem because it is disabled with Windows features.
    This seemed to help with the DVD drive operation.
    Still Movie Maker is a bad program and should be changed to do
    a complete uninstall if so desired.

    Seeliewight: Most likely it's some dumb thing I did.
    I had to reinstall the entire puter after running it. That scared me off.
    Backed up and installed Imagburn. It worked like a champ. Took a
    little getting used to but I managed. Haven't the foggiest why I
    had so much trouble a while back with it. Will now get rid of Infrarecoder
    and Eraser. Both are questionable programs.
