    Can't Delete

    Greetings,
I have a file on my computer that I can't delete. I can rename it, but the system tells me I am not the administrator. Well I am the administrator. I have a password and am the only user. When I check the system it tells me I am the administrator. Any idea why I can’t delete a file?

    Welcome
First be very sure its a file you can delete safely
    You can try this
Folder - Delete from Command Prompt
Then try using the hidden adminstrator.
Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable[2]=User Accounts
Finally if nothing does the trick this should work

I think that the administrator will do the job, however.

If the file is associated with a program that you use on your computer that maybe you didn't uninstall properly windows will not let you delete the file as it thinks you still need it. Make sure that the file is not being used by your system.
