    can't copy/paste/cut/ a file?

i need serious help im having a problem on moving a .AVI (716MB) format file to another driver/network it seems when the transfer progress reach to 47% (some circumstances 20% and 30%) it freezes with red progress indicator the transfer and sometimes it effect my entire desktop only mouse is movable 2-4minutes later everything is resumed however the file is now saying

"Can't read from the source file or disk"

i tried some of method but none of them worked like

-add to achieve as rar/zip, but it stopped and freeze

-convert to ISO file, its also stopped and freeze

-make another copy it succeed but still can't move the copied file to other driver

-keep retrying the copy but always stopped on same %

-i used error-checking by using tools in driver tools with Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors , the result "no problem were found on the device or disk" still can't move that file

-fully scanned the drive and whole system with Avira AntiVir Premium ver 10.0.680, it still the same the file is clean and can't be moved

now things is getting frustrated, the file is actually came from Drive E i download this file from Torrent (its a popular science education tv show best not to say the title) after that i move it to drive D now it stuck from there forever the file is actually played full length of video without any problem the file its self was ghosting its like not existed but it was there weird.. @_@' can anyone help me about this im very much appreciate it

EDIT: i just solve my problem, by switching "Open with." to Window Media Player and remove the "read only" box its a simple method to fix the Copy/Paste problem..however im not sure what really cause of this bug but the problem its self was indeed odd issue i even reformat my window for it and thats it..

Try burning as data to a cd.

Could be the file is corrupt?

got same problem before, so what I've done is put it into a backup file like windows backup and restore it to your needed file.
worked ok with me, but if the file is really corrupted then it will be corrupted.
