    Explorer Pane behavior.

Hi, Wish you all good tidings. Have been using Win7 nearly 6 months with a recent sp1 update. In the explorer pane (LEFT) , as you move thru the folders , and click the thumbnail on a particular folder it opens the contents of the said folders on the RIGHT pane.Let me say that a particular folder is SNAPPED (can I have the exact terms please :)).
Ok I have snapped DIFX and am trying to expand Alwil software. Image-1Explorer Pane behavior.-snap0-2011-06-29_230515.gif

Alwil software expands as expected. Image-2.Explorer Pane behavior.-snap1-2011-06-29_230550.gif

Next I snap ALwil software -Image -3Explorer Pane behavior.-snap2-2011-06-29_230609.gif

I try to expand the folder of Alwil software. It disgustingly goes and sits at the bottom. -Image -4Explorer Pane behavior.-snap3-2011-06-29_230744.gif

It happens everytime and if folder has still more folders it is still irritating. I have to compress the folder and expand it again , and only then it goes to the top. I have seen this behavior in Win 7 premium editions too.

Try this. Go to Organize-.Folder and search options and uncheck Automatically expand to current folder.

Did that exactly as mentioned. But to no avail. I have attached a zip file containing the screen grab.

Have you tried clicking on the little white triangle in front of the folder name? This will open the contents of the folder in the left (tree) pane. The white triangle replaces the + - signs from XP.

I appreciate your help but it unfortunately is far from the topic of discussion...
