UAC Trouble
Hello Windows Seven Forum Members,
My computer (Windows 7 Ultimate x64bit) has been experiencing difficulties with UAC, where I had temporarily turned it off, and forgot to turn it back on. However, now, everything that has to do with UAC is now not working: I can't change UAC settings, I tried in every way possible, and the result is the same, after clicking the link which would usually take you to a new window, nothing happens.
Because of this, any application which would require me to run as administrator (regedit and cmd (with privileges) included) does not work, instead, showing up the following message: "Windows cannot find '.......exe'. Make sure you type the name correctly and try again. Whenever I try to install anything, a different error occurs: "ShellExecuteEx failed; code 2. The system cannot find the file specified". And whenever I would normally be asked to give permission to a program as an administrator of my system, now absolutely nothing happens, and I am unable to proceed further.
Any help with this would be appreciated
Thanks in advance
