    restart problems

I'm running W7RC 7100 and love it, coming from XP. I should have gone with 64 bit, but installed x86.

Whenever I restart, I get an error message: "Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press Enter".

The only way to start it is to insert the Install DVD and boot from that. I select Repair/System Recovery Tools/Startup Repair. When I check the Repair Diagnostic log, it always reads the same- "Windows could not detect a problem". But then I can restart from the HD and everything starts properly.

I've tried it with the BIOS boot order as CD/HD and HD/CD.

I don't restart often- I leave my system on, but it is annoying. Any ideas? Or should I just install the 64 bit?

You know what, I'm going to install the 64 bit version. I think all I need is a new SCSI card.

When I installed the 64 bit, it started doing the same thing. After I turned off some services (thanks, Black Viper!), it's fine. It may just be a coincidence, but here's what I stopped:
    - dist link tracking client
    - home group list / home group prov
    - human inter dev access
    - ip helper
    - offline files
    - peer name section
    - win card space
    - windows search
    I also turned off Indexing.

there no need to do so.
1st u go to control panel , then go to hardware section then cheek your power option. if it is all right form there, re-install your OS or change your OS.
