New User Account - No DVD Drives Visible

This is my first post - I just installed Win 7 with 1 Sata 3, 2 Sata 2 HDs, 2 IDE DVDs (one RW). Bios set to ACHI.

I can see all the drives in my account - administrator. When I set up accounts for the family - the IDE DVD drives do not show up under Computer. I tried changing the accounts to administrator but that didn't work.

Any thoughts? Everything works in my main account...

I found that my settings as administrator were not propagated through to all the new users. I had to go into each account and under folder options view; 1) Select Show hidden files, folders or drives, 2) uncheck Hide empty drives in the computer folder then 3) in the general, navigation pane select Show all folders.

Drives - Hide or Show Empty Drives in Computer Folder

    All drives are visible now.
