    The mysterious command prompt question

    Hello

A while ago I was using the command prompt window but accidently press some buttons on the keyboard with my arm. I wasn't sure which button I press but all I know was I didn't hit any function keys or the enter button that executes the command.

I wondering is there any possible hotkey commands in the command prompt that can cause a executing changing the settings on my computer, or is pressing the enter button in command prompt the only way to execute something on my pc. Sorry for the dumb question and many thanks in advance. I'm just kinda worried since ppl say to be careful executing stuff with command prompt, I swear starting into that black window looks like the myterious void.

If it was not an elevated command promt (run as adminitrator) it could only affect your account.
    Elevated Command Prompt
That being said, very little if any chance of any problem, regardless of what you did

eep, I was running as admin earlier. Does it mean there's some commands that can change the settings on my computer through the hotkeys alone and not having to press the "enter" button...?

Do you mean it's impossible for command prompt to change anything on my PC as long as I never press the "enter" button?

Last month I've checked all the hotkey commands for W7 and other windows program, but they never mentioned anything for command prompt : /

As far as I know you have to hit enter. CMD is like the old fashioned DOS commands, just basic stuff, nothing fancy.

    Trust me, you are ok.
The computer is just a thing, that you spent a lot of money on to enjoy. So just enjoy it. Further more if the computer ever acts in a way that you do not think is normal, the people here can fix it. Good luck.
