    Hi,

I have a A500-052 but there is nothing on mine that hasn't been installed with a driver. When you load Device Manager, are there any items in there that don't have a driver? (they will have a yellow ! triangle on the icon) If so, what category are they in?

This is not XP. Win7 installer is driver-complete and then quickly updated via optional Windows Updates when you enable Hardware auto-updating: Automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware .

Any drivers then missing in Device Manager can be imported from the Support Downloads webpage for the exact model Device or computer.

I have just made a big mistake and set my Boot Advance settings to permanent: RAM to 256Mb Max.(using the msconfig in windows 7 64bit. It prompted me that I cannot change it.- it is permanent! My PC is now extremely slow because of my stupidity.

Windows also did not recognized my 8Gb of RAM only 4Gb. My 1st problem is more serious though!

    Please help

    Thanks

Look in BIOS setup at how RAM is apportioned to video card.

How much RAM is recognized by Windows?

    Also look in MSCONFIG.

Hello Roge, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Are you able to uncheck the Maximum memory box?
