    Loads of irritating problems.

    O/S: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit SP1
    Computer: Asus G73Jh
Quick Specs: Intel Core i7 CPU Q 740 @1.73GHz, 6 Gigs of RAM, and Radeon 5870 GFX Card 600. Gig Harddrive.

I am having numerous loading problems, mostly with my web browsers and media player. I have a decent enough computer to know that I shouldn't be having these problems. Media Player Classic takes as long as 5 minutes to load a movie at any given time; I've had to resort to using Windows Media Player, which I do not like. Firefox and IE also take a long time to load, usually causing the browser to crash. And periodically I get the blue screen; I've tried using different kinds of software to clean out my computer, but nothing will work. I need to know how to get this thing back to the way it was, without a fresh instal seeing as how I only have the original instal of windows from when I first bought the computer. I also have loads of movies, music, games, pictures; that I do not want to lose; Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Did it like just start happening one day? If so can you recall if you updated or installed a piece of software? Might be able to go back to a restore point before it happened. Does the slowness on MPC go across all mivies or just some? (It really HATES some slightly damaged movie files)

Try using VLC on the same movie files and see if there is a different story.

Unfortuantely using several cleaner programs is more of a recipe for disaster than for fixing anything In the end you might be looking at a fresh install, you can network all your filles off it, clean install and then put them back of course...

It just started happening, and no I don't believe I did anything special before it started happening, and yes it's all of my movies, not just some, I take pride in my movies so I know theyre all good; and as I said before, I dont have a copy of windows to install again. And the movies do seem to start right up in VLC.

Oh, I thought you just didn't want to because of the data you had on there...

If your pretty sure you didn't install anything or do a windows up date just when this started, then I might start down the path of virus and malware checking. Some of those things can really really slow you down as they try to go about their neferious buisness

THere is always a chance that there may be a sudden memory or harddrive issue as well (Memory leads to more crashes, and HD going bad can lead to insane slowness when trying to read from it).
