Typing folder name selects files, not folders

Normally when I'm in a folder like My Documents, typing the name of a folder selects the folder I want to access. Recently, typing a name selects files with a similar name. How can I fix it so that typing a name in Explorer selects folders before it selects files?

Have you changed any of your File Settings? Such as the Search Settings?

In the Explorer Window Press Alt > Then Tools > Folder Options

    In View, Reset to default
    In Search Reset to Default.

See if that works and fixes it for you

Not to my knowledge. Where can I check? I'm not referring to typing a name in the search box, I'm talking about opening a folder and just typing into the folder window. It should select folders with the name you type by default, but for me, its selecting the files instead.
