    Black screen at startup

Thanks for any help or point me to where I can read.
    I am running Windows 7 Professional 32-bit.
Went I do a fresh boot I get a totally black screen for about 40 seconds give or take before the Windows message appears.
Is it some possible program mix that I have?

You don't list you CPU in your specs (not your case size). What kind do you have? I see your HD is pretty small. Could you post a screen shot of your Disk Management. Thanks,

I have attached a file of the "Disk Management" in pdf format.
    Hope that's ok.

How full is your drive? If there is hardly any free space, that could slow things down. Click on the "Computer" icon on the desktop and that will tell you the amount of free space in both your C: and D: drive

C drive has 44 GB free
D drive has 17 GB free
This is about a black screen at startup before the "Start Windows" message appears

    phenix,
The questions you were asked are because quite often what you are seeing is because of a drive with very little free space available, which doesn't appear to be the case here.

Download, install and run CCleaner (link in my sig). Run the cleaner portion thereof.

After that, then carry out following:

LIST OF STARTUP PROGRAMS USING CCLEANER

CCleaner | Tasks icon | Startup tab | click on Save to text file button (bottom right side)

Using the PAPER CLIP icon in the top panel of a Message Reply window, attach the .txt file generated by CCleaner.

For right now, uncheck ALL except for:

    egui "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\egui.exe" /hide /waitservice

Unchecking doesn't delete anything. Just tells Win 7 to not run them at startup time.

I did what you asked Karl.
Black screen still prevailed for about 40 seconds upon a new startup.
    Waiting further instructions.

As an experiment, uncheck eset, completely disable your eset and restart your computer.
