I think you got a god-awful laptop, setup in a god-awful way. I suggest you take it back and get something else. Or try and reinstall Windows 7 fresh and clean to remove all the crap that was put on that machine.

For Asus, Express Gate comes pre-installed with the system from OEM, but I agree completely whoever refurbished this computer didn't know what they were doing or didn't test it or just didn't care.

I would also do a clean install, but I fear this guy didnt get an install disc....

I would take it back in a heartbeat!
Have them fix it or get a refund then talk to manager about the idiot who refurbished this useless piece of junk. IMHO of course.
