    Satrtup problem....

I was messing around with the startup options in windows. I have windows 7 and Splash top OS. I changed the default OS to Splash top OS from the windows 7 startup options and unchecked the button "Display list of options for..."

Now my PC directly boots to splash top OS. The boot selection screen only popups for a millisecond. I have already tried pressing escape and f8 but to no avail. I know it can be repaired by windows 7 installation disc but that is time consuming. If any body knows any other way then Please help me.

i don't know much, but it may help.

Click Windows Orb > Search for "System Variables", and click on "edit the system environment variables".

Under the Advanced Tab > Startup and Recovery > Click Settings

Change your Default Operating System. If this does or not solve your problem, post back.

OP can't boot into Win7 presently.

You'll need to find similar settings in the booting OS for changing the default OS at boot.

If not, mark Win7 partition Active, run Startup Repair repeatedly to start Win7, then add the other OS to Dual Boot using EasyBCD 2.02 or similar program.

I think that is a long way. It was a good thing that I have windows 7 installed on a separate partition and all my data on other. I'll just format that and reinstall windows.
