    Hi risingflight,

I am unaware of such a tool, and I don't think you can default the registry, but please find
the following tutorials that cover resetting Policies/Windows Update/Services :)

Services - Restore Default Services in Windows 7
    Windows Update - Reset

For registry issues, you can use CCleaner, it has a Registry defrag option
and also a Registry cleaner (use wisely)

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

    Hi,

The only way I can think of returning the registry back to default safely
is by the Recovery CD or partition if you have Windows 7 pre-installed.
But that will wipe data etc!! And is obviously not what your wanting.

I found this, but I don't know anything about it and I would read all the feedback before attempting to use.

    USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

I think this is a learning lesson to play it safe from the beginning as in create a backup image of a fresh instal. Even if there was a program to set back to defaults it would have to know what ones to remove. Meaning you will be left with a bunch of software or driver functionality that doesn't work and who knows what else be broken. Try creating a new user. I think it creates a new default registry but then again what about the programs you can select instal for all users. So something must care over still. Restart and do it right this time. Good luck.

I am unacquainted with such a device, and I don't think you can standard the personal computer, but please find
the following guides that cover resetting Guidelines.
